Learn to Ride in the English Tradition in Livermore, California

Show Prices

  • Day Charge
    • Single coach $125.
    • Per student – Two or more coaches $200. $250 if 3 or less riders.
  • Grooming
    • $70 a day average, (varies as to transportation and housing depending on the individual groom.) If grooms have to travel to the horse show and if housing is needed.
    • Tipping: $10 per day is suggested beginning on the day the grooms arrive at the show.
    • There may be times where the client will pay the groom directly. We will indicate that in advance.
  • Stalls
    • Tack/Grooming stall costs to be shared by all clients.
  • Bedding/Hay/Shavings/Grain
    • Cost is divided between the clients horses. We bring as much as we can accommodate and purchase the remaining at the show.
  • Medication/Prep
    • Medications Bute-Roboxin is administered. This is standard to keep horses comfortable during the show as they are used heavily as compared too home use. Other products may be suggested, such as Gastro-Guard, Perfect Prep, etc.
  • Extra Labor
    • As needed for setting up and packing to leave. Does not necessarily work the show.
  • Supplies
    • Grooming: hoof oil, show sheen, fly spray, magic cushion (hoof packing for sore feet), ointments, liniments.
    • Tack Room: waters, candies, snacks, horse cookies, carrots.
    • Hardware set up for the stalls, etc.: This is shared by individual.
  • Rider Charge
    • $20 per ride if the trainer takes your horse into the show ring. No charge for flat classes.
  • Hotel/RV
    • Cost is split between clients attending the show
  • Laundry
    • $10 per horse. All horse show equipment pads, towels, coolers.
  • Vanning
    • Cost is quoted by distance
  • Expenses
    • Per diem food, gas for equipment, transporting trunks.
    • Varies by horse show and shared by clients
  • Child Care
    • Overnight $50 per night not including their lodging unless they stay in the RV.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Shoes, grading,vet. These charges are paid by the individual owner directly to the vendor.
    • If Horizons East provides payment there will be a $25 Service Charge.
    • If there are any outstanding charges the client has incurred and left unpaid there will be a service charge.
    • You can always leave an open check for any miscellaneous payments so we can pay vendors for you if you will not be attending the show.
